So I haven’t quite yet covered what it is I do, career-wise. While I really do a range of things, I am currently graced with the very awesome job of working at Scholastic on Magic School Bus and thought, what better way to reveal that then making some art.

Over the past few months I have gone from having a fond nostalgia for the show to becoming a near expert about the characters and dinosaurs. I’ve got to say, dinosaurs are awesome and these kids are hella charming (and if you’re wondering I do have a favorite and it is 100% carlos, gotta love them terrible puns).

PS: I’m actually making prints for this, and other prints available at my store now, Sailor Scouts, and even a wall printed version of Courage! I’ll probably make a separate post about it, but I know a few people have been asking around. If you’re looking for a particular print not listed there, but is art on my blog, PM me and I’m sure we can work something out!

Excuse me as I die in a puddle of cute…I love this girl, she’s amazing. I want all the prints.

Getting caps for this blog means I’ve seen all the episodes and know them fairly well. While deciding on which caps to use for the Rudy-Curtis-fighting-over-a-blind-girl scenes in 4x02, I’ve realized that none of the episodes really pit the boys against each other. Anytime there’s an argument or two characters competing against one another, it’s either between a boy and girl or two girls.

It’s really cool the way human beings make tools that mimic what their own bodies can do. We invented cups and bowls to be like our hands and telescopes to be like our eyes and ladders to be like our legs. From a broad perspective, our tools look a lot like us, you know? I bet if you were an alien visiting Earth, you would think it was all very adorable, the way our cars look like us and our houses look like us. We decided, as a species, that our bodies aren’t good enough, so we make things that are like-our-bodies-but-better. It’s really cute. Almost like legos. Here’s a very strange creature that uses its environment to recreate itself.

Can you imagine what the tools of other creatures might look like? If a jellyfish decided it wanted to do something beyond its body, and it needed a tool to do it, what would that tool look like? It wouldn’t look like human hands or human eyes.

There could be an entire ocean littered with jellyfish cutlery and jellyfish furniture, all of it looking very jellyfish-ish and adorable.

Not only did I find a complete box of Wave 3 Blind Bags, The Cloudsdale and Canterlot Wedding Blind Bag-Size sets, White Princess Celestia, small-sized pony plushies, the Crystal Kingdom pony set, AND the Canterlot Wedding Castle, but Walmart had an awesome new display with FREE 11 x17” posters! And these aren’t boring, lame-old posters featuring the same vectors that have been re-used again and again. These posters are INCREDIBLE! One features an official map of Equestria, another features the entire cast of Season 2, the third is filled to brim with awesome villains (INCLUDING TRIXIE!) and the final one features the Canterlot Wedding Party!

Let me say again, these posters were FREE! I grabbed two copies of each when I bought out pretty much the entire pony section and they were no charge! So go forth, seek out ye local Walmart, and get yourself several armfuls of Real, Ultimate Swag!

I don’t suppose you’d help a fellow BronyCon staff member in collecting the posters…?
